Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education Institutions (AQACHEI) — Jordan's national accreditation body. Formerly known as the Higher Education Accreditation Commission (HEAC); renamed and reorganised under Law No. 11 of 2020. Operates under the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MoHESR). Website still uses heac.org.jo domain after the rename. AQACHEI was awarded full 10-year Recognition Status by the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME) in 2023, the first such recognition in the post-pandemic WFME programme.
